Kabuki or Sponge?

So I decided to venture out of my normal routine and check out this new sponge everyone has been raving about. I don’t know about you, but I’m the type that of person who finds a good product and sticks with it! Rarely do I venture out and try something different, but I figured what the heck? Why not try something new?! I know I’m a little late in the game, but I guess, better late than never!

So I made a trip over to my favorite store, Ulta, to search for this new sponge. And what I happened to purchase was a Miracle Complexion Sponge by Real Techniques. I can’t lie, I was a little suspicious about this product. Would this really work for me? Would I like it better than my kabuki brush?
This morning, I grabbed by new Miracle Complexion Sponge and decided to give this a go! And I must say, I think I found something new I love!! Not gonna lie, this sponge was quite nice. Felt so great against my skin while I was using it. I don’t know about you, but I feel like sometimes my kabuki brush can irritate my skin from brushing my makeup over my face. While I still feel like I get good coverage, I do feel like using the Miracle Complexion Sponge gives me a more natural look. Which for me, is what I want. At times, I’ve noticed that using my kabuki brush can cause my makeup to looked a little caked on. And I don’t change the amount of foundation that I use.
Downside…a sponge will obviously absorb more makeup that the kabuki brush. So you do end up losing some foundation in this process. But, I think I’m okay with that. Mainly because of the way my face looks once I’ve used it.
So tell me, what are your favorite beauty products?
